This project is taking a long time and not turning out as nice as I hoped. But, progress has been made.
TONS of wiring. In the coming week I hope to finish the beauty panels and test the track in-car for the first time.

Oh man so cool! Way to do it right! Projects like this make me really miss my car stereo days.

Between you and long voyager I’m not sure who impresses me more with how productive you guys are.
Also, glad to see another person with a chaotic work bench.

See, I feel like I’ve been super lazy with this project :)
Yes, my garage constantly looks like a bomb went off, especially if I have a couple things going at once. I’ll clean it every few weeks but it quickly goes back to chaos.

With the amount of stuff you’re building from scratch it seems like you’re making good progress still. I took about 3 months this summer just to replace the clutch and rear main seal on my Corvette.
My garage is the same. I clean it and a week later it looks like a bomb went off again. My wife can’t stand it, but it works for me.

It is! If all goes as planned, the arduino will control it with the push of a button. It worked on the bench. I have a couple gulf-themed cars that will race on it too.

I know, right? Long Voyager will do a freaking engine swap during a weekend like it’s no big deal. lol

And I’m over here taking months to change a clutch :(

I’ve thought about putting a Christmas-themed HO train set on a 4x3 plywood sheet in the back of my truck. Everything nailed down and glued other than the train, which could make for an impromptu tailgate when parked.

I think we are in the same boat. I’m almost at 2 months into a clutch job on the Mustang, and that was just to get everything apart. Rusted bolts are the worst.
